Premium Portal partners have made great suggestions over the past few months on enhancements they’d like to see added to the product. Many of these requests are included in the latest release, along with new functionality and options, making Premium Portal even more robust.
Release Enhancements Include:
Improved Search Engine Optimization
- Improve the visibility of your portal to search engines.
- Easily define titles, descriptions and keywords from the Partner Portal.
- Upload a favicon and it will appear in the title bar.
Choose Your Own RSS Feeds for Local News
- Choose your favorite local RSS feeds to incorporate into your portal.
Choose the Default Status of Your Users
- Define the roles you want all new users to have by default.
- Not sure what role to assign to your new users? View your options with the new role description table.
Enhanced Financial Content
- Five new menu items with additional drop-down menus.
Add Multiple Special Announcements
- Set expiration dates to streamline scheduling.
- Don’t want a special announcement to expire? Now you can choose “Announcement does not expire.” Set it and forget it!
Total Subscriber Count
- Keep track of your subscribers with a current subscriber count found in the Portal users tab.
Local Calendar
- Displays the next five available events, ensuring an event is always displayed.
Local News on the Home Page
- Displays the five most recent stories and includes stories from Topix or your defined RSS feed.
Editor Included to Add “Styles” to Local Submission Pages
- Change the font size, formatting and colors within the text.
Import Favorites to Your “My Links”
- Easily include all your favorites within your Portal by importing them.
